Metal Up Your Ass (arse) Part 3.

I know your fear of loss
And your struggles with faith
And how it takes everything that you have to face the day
The virtues you possess now bring you eternal pain
All you have is contempt for a life you can’t obtain
All your heroes have failed you
Yet you try and prevail
Face your torment and dismantle your doubt
Refuse this legacy of shame and deceit
Cause the only real truth in your life that you know is hostility

Your world is coming apart
Remain steadfast

Against all opposition
Crushing all limitations
Pure strength through solitude
Discipline and determination

You can’t accept what you’ve been told
Anchored in sin you must reverse your descent
Declare the weight of the world has yet to claim you
And admit that your faults will not restrain you
Glimpses of fate bring light to your despair
Realise hope isn’t short of your grasp
Resurrect every dream that you’ve buried alive
And never succumb to the war that you fight in your heart

Your world is coming apart
Remain steadfast

Against all opposition
Crushing all limitations
Pure strength through solitude
Discipline and determination

I think the lyrics above to the song called Perseverance sums up this next model perfectly.

He is a product of war, of pain, of horrors untold…

He is…

I’ve only started listening to Hatebreed in recent years. One night I was surfing YouTube for older metal songs and came across their song “Live for this” from their 2003 album The Rise Of Brutality. I was hooked!!!

Here is the song. I bet you can’t help banging your head to it or at least tapping your hand or foot. The Chorus, in particular, is very cool and the main riff reminds me of the style my mate plays.

As far as the model goes I wanted him to look like a survivor of the worse kind of horror who had in turn become horror himself and of course he needed to look full of HATE.

What better face to look mutated by horror than a Ghoul. The blood in his mouth is not his own therefore one is lead to believe he might be feasting on both his fallen enemies and battle brothers. Maybe he was once a Space Marine?

I wanted the skin to look sickly.

The armour to look wrecked and blasted open.

His left mechanical arm needed to look old and rusted as though it were connected to him long, long ago.

For his base I’ve used part of the hull of a Chimera I found on eBay for $10.

The hull seemed a little bare so I added poor old skeletal Private T. Bagging to it.

Poor bastard.

I hope you like HATEBREED.

In my opinion I think he’s lacking something but I’m not sure what? Maybe he needs more colour or something. I don’t know but I wont lose any sleep on it.

  1. Heh, Private T. Bagging. I see what you did there. πŸ˜›
I am loving this entire series so much. I love this guy’s bloody maw and the background bit about him indiscriminately devouring both his fallen enemies and battle brothers alike.
He definitely brings to mind the name that inspired him. πŸ˜€

    1. Haha you’re the only one who picked up on my Private T Bagging joke. Actually I didn’t know Americans would get it as I thought it was more of an Aussie thing. Unless of course you think it just means having a nice cup of tea? Hahaha
