The Bell Cult – Part 12.

What is it father?

Its death my son. You’re facing your death now.

Father I’m afraid.

Don’t be… Just have faith in the Bell and all will be as it should.

The Bell Father – Luciene Calvare

Luciene is the most extravagant conversion I’ve done with the Cawdor kit. There are bits from four other GW kits as well. Let’s see who of you can name them hehe. My money is on Wudugast, Alex and the Az man. Maybe Faust too.

Other than the little “father/son” snippet at the top I’ve decided not to do a back story for the Bell Father to give him an air of mystique.

Instead, here’s a job description of sorts for the old man.

The Bell Father must be firm in all his decisions. He must not show weakness or faulter in any way. He is to set an example for all others including the Bell Priests. He must lead from the front and be willing to lay down his life for the sacred Bell. The Bell Father must wear the burden of leadership and as the head of the family both metaphorically and literally. The Bell atop his backpack is representation of his burden as well his position. The weight ofnit heavy upon his shoulders but he must relish in the pain and the hardship of wearing such an honour. The Bell Father must be willing to sacrifice all for the sake of the Bell. It is also the Bell Fathers duty to provide protection, nourishment and sanctuary for his devout followers. The Bell Father can be challenged and must accept all challenges head on without hesitation. It is written that a Bell Father even slew his own son when he felt a risk to his leadership.

So now all the models are made and I’ve also built their lair it’s onto the painting.

HOWEVER!!!!! Before THAT BIG reveal I’ll be showcasing my AOS28 War-Band which I’m actually quite pumped about. So, you won’t be seeing any more posts from me until then.

Be good and remember,

I’d easily drink any one of you under the table!

Cheers

IRO

    1. Umm…bits from a Jackrabbit, Boba Fett’s loin guard, and uh….oh crap, Wudugast, post the answers already!

Yea, I’m the last one to guess bits correctly. Unless someone uses Blood Bowl parts, and maybe some Necromunda. Sadly, I have little other GW knowledge.

In my 20s, I was an unstoppable drinking machine. Not so much now, probably only have a 1/4 of a liver left to prove it though!

Oh yea, this is about minis, right? He looks pretty cool. I like the simple intro, very grim. That bell thing is crazy. So is that the bell they ring that drives people crazy, and he has to wear it? If so, pretty crazy stuff. I thought it would be some bell stuck somewhere, that they would be protecting. More interesting if some guy is lugging it around though.

      Ok, paints, sonny. Paints! 😉

  1. Madness but I love it, I was hoping that bell would end up getting used somewhere! 🙂

The four kits would be; Skaven Warlord (Island of Blood), Noxious Blightbringer (Dark Imperium), Empire Flagelant (the head I’ve always wanted to get my hands on for conversions but never seem to have managed). Can’t quite see the pistol properly but I’m thinking Imperial Guard. Also the chains with the hooks aren’t from Cawdor are they? Can’t quite place them either though, I’m thinking Chaos or possible Ogres but I couldn’t name the exact kit.

      1. Yeah, I should really have bought it years ago. I keep just picking up on bits from eBay and bitz sites. I recognise the chains from the wracks now, pretty sure I’ve used them myself at some point.

      1. Funny we think the same about Australians (difference is we’re right!) 😉 .

Actually it’s to do with the tablets I take, but I never was a big drinker, but I did love my real ale!!

        Cheers Roger.

  2. Holy shit, that is one imposing beast of a character! I imagine he’s pretty good at dispatching of any idiots who try to challenge him. Absolutely awesome job. This series is fantastic and it’s been awesome catching up on all your fantastic work I missed throughout the month. Can’t wait to see what comes next. Have a great weekend!! 😀

      1. Haha I only WISH that is what I’d been up to! 😉
Aw, and no need to worry. I just lead a hectic/busy life that doesn’t leave me as much time for blogging as I wish it did. I always find my way back though. 😀

    1. Thanks for taking the time to look at what I’ve been doing mate. It’s funny, I didn’t actually feel right to post any “subject” VS “subject” posts while you were away. I’m not exactly sure why but it just didn’t feel right.
