Five years of blogging and I owe it all to you.

Wow, it’s been five years since I started this blog.

When I turned twenty one, twenty years ago, I remember my Dad saying to me, “that’s of now son, life is going to fly by.” How right he was.

Life really is flying by and documenting it here on the blog only highlights that even more.

Like most of you, I tentatively started this blog hoping to meet like minded people and to share my little creations. If I’m honest I didn’t hold much hope that I’d stick with the blog because I didn’t think others would really be interested in what I do. Equally, I didn’t think I’d find like minded people I would engage with. How wrong I was.

Sharing what I do in pictures and in the written form has been a lot more fun that I expected BUT and it’s a big BUTT,  the reason I stay is for the community, blog-buddies and general involvement.

Honestly guy, I know I’ve said it before, but without you lot I really wouldn’t bother blogging. You encourage me, inspire me let alone make me laugh and keep me interested.

So even though it’s a Happy Birthday To IRO, for me, it’s a BIG salute to all of you who follow, comment, help and just have a chat.

Ive said this before too but I’ll bloody say it again because it’s my speech, I’d love to meet you all in person one day and have a good old chat and a laugh and a few drinks.

I’ll leave you with a photo of me as a six year old. I was on a float/truck that went through town, back in England, and I wasn’t happy because 1. I had to wear a tribal skirt and 2. They took my spear away from to prop up a giant birdcage.

Cheers to all of you.

  1. Well your real dad was right about the years flying by, I can vouch for that too. All very scary. Congratulations on 5 years, I for one have appreciated the entertainment of three of them (that was the first three of course, I couldn’t be arsed after that! 😉). Will look forward to that beer one day sonny but only if I feel fully confident that your cross dressing days are behind you! 😊

      1. Hahah yeah I know! After spending most of my days sitting by the computer writing, I often find it really difficult to crank out hobby stuff – but I was thinking of at least starting a new post today!

  2. Happy birthday mate! always a joy to read (or listen to) your sh*t.

I would love to chat to you sometime, but as I don’t drink you would have to drink both, do you think you could manage that?

Loving the photo, I have some here somewhere of me at the 77′ Jubilee party dressed as a Musketeer and others as Julius Ceaser, but they will remain hidden for all eternity!

Lastly you mentioned your “movie” career at the start of one of your podcasts (No 9 or 10), well I think I’ve found one of them…were you in “Whorehammer'” (sub title “See as Emmanuelle takes on the landscape gardener and an army of tiny men!”. 😉

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Hahaha cheers Roger. I now have my own adult film company called PornHammer. I’ve done some great movies already including “Sisters of Bangin”, “The might of the ImperialHard” and “Rogue Wanker”.

  3. Well done mate, you certainly make our group colourful!! I have been able to get set up to listen to you a Wazz as the wife and I purchased a big Sony speaker that I can hear,a mate gave me one but it was cheap and really bad for the spoken word .I’m going to work my way back from Episode 49 at the moment and them come back to 50 and carry on from there, the Jones town thing was interesting, filled in some things I didn’t know, well done ! Just one question who was that Englishman that spoke about the Covid _19 situation in the UK. Keep up the grand work mate.

  5. Congrats on the big anniversary! I of course love your blog (and other pursuits) and thank you profusely for the gift of sharing them. Your sentiments are spot on and returned. You made me look at my blog start date and I was surprised to see it was born in March 2015 – so our blogs are same age schoolmates! And I can remember 41, hell it was just yesterday- 16 years ago in 2004!

Cheers dude, we will have a beer in person before assuming room temperature (me in Fahrenheit you in Celsius)!

  6. Five years – wow! Time flies when you’re having fun eh! 🙂 Good to see that you kept in touch with the other kid from that photo, and even used his picture as your blog profile image. Very much agreed with everything you had to say there (don’t I always?) – here’s to the next five!
