The Revenant Horde of Dark Hallow – Part 7

As discussed in part 6…

https://imperialrebelork.wordpress.com/2016/11/19/the-revenant-horde-of-dark-hallow-part-6/

…I am using the theory that older zombies are falling apart a lot more, generally slower and flakier. Whereas freshly bitten zombies are still full of energy and human-ish in a lot of ways.

This unit of zombies are somewhere between freshly bitten and extremely old and flaky.

Their skin is clearly rotting but not dry and ghostly white. More of a ghoulish mouldy green.

Their blood is dark and congealing. However, you will see fresher blood on them too, especially around their mouths, this is from their victims.

Another difference between this lot and the first unit on part 6 is the fact that these undead monsters have weapons. Their dead, reanimated, minds still, vaguely, remember how to use the weapons. This is probably more from habit rather than any actual clear understanding of what weapons can do. They still prefer to bite into their victims of course.

  1. I think those undead chaps came out excellent. The photography is also very atmospheric and I think the dim lighting evokes a feeling of dread. The Zombies with their subtle differences in skintone work very well and I think it is very nice that you put so much thought into it.

    1. Thank you Mr Dagger, or is it Mr Brush? I always try and put a lot of effort into all aspects. I’ve especially been focused on skin tone and photography of late and im glad it’s been noticed. Thank you for the comment.
